The club was represented at Henley Womens Regatta by a club coxed four, club eight, J16 coxed four, en elite lightweight pair and an elite pair.
The headline result was a win for the club coxed four of Becky, Lucy, Lizzie and Caroline coxed by Nicola. The final was a bit of a nailbiter against a tough Vesta crew which resulted in a win for Lea by just under a length and a new course record! The girls went out hard taking nearly a length in the first minute but Vesta kept up the pressure all the way down the course to hold on for a great win.
The juniors had a tough quarter final against Henley, who have dominated the junior girls club scene in recent seasons. This time it was Henley who went out fast taking nearly a length out of the Lea . The girls fought back very hard with some excellent pushes and wrestled the lead off Henley which they then held to the line. The effort may have proved too much as the crew went down fighting to the eventual winners in the semi finals.
The club eight raced well to win their first round against Reading but were beaten by the eventual winners, Cantabrigian, in the second round. Both the elite pairs fell at the first hurdle but those hurdles were quite high, in one instance in the form of two Australian senior internationals.

L-R: Nicola Shepherd, Lucy Stackpool-Moore, Caroline Newbury, Gill Parker, Lizzie Chapman, Becky Minnich and Tony Mallin.
