The club sent the top end of the mens, womens and junior boys squads to Metropolitan Regatta as well as a large contingent (two full trailers) to Peterborough regatta on the same weekend.

At Met the womens coxed four secured the best results winning championship coxed fours on both days. The victory on Sunday was particularly impressive being from lane 1, the lane most exposed to the usual Eton Dorney crosswind. The hastily reshuffled mens coxless four picked up speed with each race finishing on Sunday with a strong performance in Championship coxless fours. They held off a strong charge from Tideway Scullers in the final to take fourth, half a length down on London. The boys quad also raced through to their final, having a better row on their second trip down the course finishing a close fourth in a hard fought final.

Meanwhile over in Peterborough the mens club eight won IM3 in a decent 3.01 for the 1000m course, as well as taking IM3 coxed fours. The novice squad, racing in IM3 fours, put in a strong showing pushing the club men and taking a strong second place. The womens coxed four took IM2 and the novices were pipped taking second place in Novice coxed fours. In the WIM2 pairs event Lea took 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The wins continued on Sunday in mens IM3 coxed fours (Van Leuven) and mens novice singles (Ranocchi).

The squads next travel to Reading Regatta and British Masters over the weekend of the 10th/11th June.
