The mens first eight and the junior girls eight spent a very productive weekend at Ely training with the Cambridge University mens and womens lightweight squads. Lots learnt all round and some excellent close racing across both days of the weekend. This is the fourth year that the mens squad have made the trip to Ely and the first year for the junior girls. Standing starts and rate 40 in the January snow – bit of a shock to the system but great fun and balanced by some excellent steady state battle paddling.
