The club fielded six crews in the veteran event on the Saturday and a further eight crews in the open event on Sunday. The weather was as good as could be expected for early November and all crews raced without problems.

The pick of the results on Saturday was a close second for the womens Vet B coxed four who missed out on a pennant by 4 seconds to a crew from Thames.

On Saturday the open event was being run under the new British Rowing system which meant that our top womens crew and our top two mens crews were racing in the tier 1 category. This is effectively the old elite category and pitches club crews directly against the likes of Leander, Isis and Goldie. Our top womens crew went off at the head of the tier 1 coxed fours in front of Leander and Cambridge University. They recorded a time of 21mins 33 seconds to finish a creditable 8th of 17 in their category. The mens top crew, a coxless four, set off directly behind Goldie and raced well to finish 37th overall and 13th of 30 in a category dominated by boat race combinations and Leander.

Ex Lea junior Flo Donald, racing as Leander, was part of the U23 quad that took the category win and an impressive 4th place overall in womens quads.
